Tim Hart 1948 - 2009

FolkCast is sorry to hear that musician Tim Hart, one of the founders of Steeleye Span, died on Christmas Eve of cancer at the age of 61. Our sympathies go out to Tim's family and friends.
Tim (pictured here on the far left with other members of Steeleye - Ashley Hutching, Maddy Prior, Martin Carthy and Peter Knight) was a musical partner of our friend Maddy Prior even before the birth of Steeleye, a band he played in from 1970 to 1984, making classic albums including Hark! The Village Wait, Below The Salt, Parcel Of Rogues, Now We Are Six, All Around My Hat and Rocket Cottage.
Thanks for the music and the memories, Tim.
Tim's much sought-after My Very Favourite Nursery Rhyme Record album is soon to be re-released and made available on double CD for the first time. To pre-order click HERE

Aw, damn. He was a fine musician and a good man and it's tragic that we lost him so young.

On the other hand, he didn't waste any of his days, did he?

Go raibh mile maith agat, Timothy.
